Easy requests

When an employee requests leave, TimeFiler identifies rostered days and public holidays during the request, and automatically figures out which leave payments to make.

This means that your employees don't need to tell you how many hours they are requesting, and they don't have to remember to exclude public holidays. They just request the leave type they want, and TimeFiler figures out what to pay based on their roster at the time.

Your TimeFiler system will be configured with public holidays for the regions you require. Each holiday shows on the leave, roster and timesheet planners with a blue highlight and the holiday name.

For public holidays which fall on the weekend, you can tell TimeFiler whether the employee should:

Taking this a step further, some of our customers have arranged with their employees that leave is paid in order from balances such as time in lieu, rostered day off, alternative holiday and annual leave.

For these companies, employees don't even have to tell you which leave types to pay out - they simply request 'Leave', and TimeFiler automatically deducts from each leave balance accordingly.

For New Zealand companies, defining a 'normal' day can be very time consuming as a manual process. We can completely automate this process for you. In addition to checking the employee's roster for 'today', many of our customers' systems also look at the preceding four, twelve or even fifty-two weeks to determine whether the employee is entitled to public holiday conditions. This saves employees, managers and the payroll department a significant amount of time, and ensures employees are paid correctly, first time.
