Why you should read this
There are literally dozens of timesheet systems out there for job costing and billing. And several of those products are absolutely superb.
But they are not always the right choice, find out why.
Aimed at small businesses, and normally
centred around professional services billing,
these products do what they say they will well.
The best ones
The best are usually full web-based, simple online sign-up, and the top of the class use modern Web 2.0 Ajax functionality that makes
the web more interactive.
However these products do have some downsides.
Limitations
- They normally struggle with large amounts of data (for example, lots of employees, or lots of jobs)
- Typically not suited for larger organisations who wish to integrate well with other products, and/or need to input data in a manner that is critical to their organisation
- Pricing model is not normally suited to larger organisations
- Although these products are mainly about billing, there are a few that handle payroll payments, however these don’t usually tend to step outside very basic overtime requirements.
