Payroll products

• Which payroll systems does TimeFiler integrate with?

  TimeFiler can export transactions to a large number of Payroll systems even ones that we aren’t currently aware of because our main export interface is quite generic and can output CSV, or DBF files with a huge range of flexibility about what is exported, and in what position etc.

  There are also a few Payroll systems that have fairly unique interfaces such as Smoothpay. We are happy to work with you and if needed liaise with your Payroll vendor if your Payroll isn’t covered by TimeFiler already. In almost all cases this will be free of charge as we are always interested in building up our Payroll export repository.

  In terms of integration of masterfile information, we have a near seamless integration with any external system which stored their data in a MSSQL database, as well as any system that can extract CSV files for TimeFiler to read. So this could be your Payroll system, or Accounting system, or CRM system. Or it could be all of these sending us different information.

  This can lead to 95% of masterfile information never needing to be manually inputted into TimeFiler, and it being updated quickly from your other systems at the touch of a button.

  The only thing we need to know with all the other information that gets read from this database, or CSV files, is to have the integer identifier to each masterfile record passed through as well. We can help check that this all exists, and then help with the configuration of it.

• If we decide to have TimeFiler hosted by you, will TimeFiler still integrate with my in-house payroll / accounting software?

  Mostly, although there are restrictions. In terms of the interface files that TimeFiler will create, these can be easily downloaded from the hosted system and placed into the location that the payroll or accounting software expects.

  The restrictions are mainly to do with full synchronisation with the vendor’s system. This is usually more difficult because both of our systems (ie your payroll system, and our hosted TimeFiler system) will be tightly locked down.

  But we are happy to discuss and work through on a case by case basis. And as our hosted option becomes more popular, we may consider having a way of improving synchronisation from local systems.

• Which Accounting systems does TimeFiler integrate with?

  We currently integrate with many popular accounting software systems, although the same discussion applies as with Payroll integration.
